Parking 2019

We are happy to take advance reservations for overnight parking. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you if you pull in 15 minutes before the boat leaves. David and I both work full time, and the kids are grown and gone, so if you call or text, please allow 24 hours for us to get back to you.

Overnight Rates for 2019 are $10/day
A day is from 8 am to 8 am. If you don't return by 8 am you could be taking someone else's reserved spot. If you have a change of plans and need to stay longer than expected, contact us ASAP so we can make any necessary changes with other reservations.

Payment is due in advance. Send payment t0 24 Todd Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, Maine 04539. We also take Venmo.

Here some answers to frequently asked questions:

  1. What is the physical address for the parking lot? 24 Todd Ave, Boothbay Harbor
  2. Why is the overnight rate different from the day rate? Day trippers are generally here for 2-3 hours and often we can "flip" a space two or three times in a day. We cannot flip overnight spaces.
  3. Will I be blocked in? No, we never double park cars.
  4. Can we come and go? Yes, but make sure you put an orange cone in your spot or someone else may take it and we may not be able to find a new spot for you.
  5. Do you take credit cards? No, sorry. We take cash, checks and Venmo.
  6. Can we pay when we leave? No, to hold your reservation we require payment in advance.
  7. If I need to leave earlier than expected can I get a refund? Yes, as long as you let us know in advance.

Before leaving the parking lot for an extended stay please check the following:
  • Make sure all of your windows and skylights are closed
  • Make sure your car engine is turned off
  • Make sure we have your contact information
  • Please center your car up to the railroad tie or fence and pull all the way forward. If you are taking up two spaces you may be preventing someone else from parking.
Thanks for parking with us!

Summer Season 2017

Top 10 Things to Do in the Boothbay Region
  1. Visit a lighthouse. The Balmy Days at Pier 8 has a harbor tour that will take you past lighthouses or even better purchase tickets for the Burnt Island Living Lighthouse Program and travel back in time.
  2. Take a hike. We have miles of public trails in the area. The Boothbay Region Land Trust has maps or just walk along our public roads for a scenic walk.
  3. Get tickets for a concert at the Opera House. This is a great venue for a variety of musical entertainment. There isn't a bad seat in the house. It's a quick stroll from the apartment so no need to worry about parking.
  4. Pack a picnic for Grimes Cove or Hendrick's Head Beach. The best sandwiches can be found at the East Boothbay General Store
  5. Visit the Farmer's Market every Thursday on the Boothbay Common.
  6. Rent a kayak or paddle board at the Tidal Transit Company.
  7. Visit the Department of Marine Resources Aquarium
  8. Get tickets for the Cabbage Island Clambake
  9. Tour the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
  10. Shop for locally made artwork and crafts: Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Anderson Studio, Mung Bean, Anne Hedgecock (at the art fairs on the library lawn).

Summer Season 2013

VISTA LINEKIN COTTAGE
We are filling up fast for the 2013 summer season.  If you have an interest in the cottage on Ocean Point we only have two summer weeks available.  Don't dismiss the months of June and September for your visit.  June is the occasion of our annual Windjammer Festival and is still relatively quiet.  September and October are my favorite months of the year.  The days are warm and the nights are cool.  You can still catch a boat trip and eat out at one of our great area restaurants.  Visit www.homeaway.com for an up to date calendar.  The property number is 162110.

MACKEREL SKY SUITE
Our cozy one bedroom apartment in the harbor is a great way to experience our local way of life.  We are within walking distance of McSeagull's restaurant, a great place to listen to local music and have a cocktail.  Spend an afternoon looking at books from local authors at Sherman's or catch the ferry to Monhegan Island and walk around the scenic island paths.  For an up-to-date calendar visit www.homeaway.com. The property number is 300229.

TIBBETT'S PARKING LOT
Squirrels and Monhegan travelers can reserve parking for a day or a week or a month.  If you don't have your vehicle and contact information on file yet please fill out the reservation form at the top of the page.  You need to click directly on top of the words CLICK HERE to get to the form.  If your information is already on file, just email me with your dates.

Carrying on the Family Business

Our son started lobstering on his own this summer.  He has been an apprentice for the last 3-4 years.  He now has his own boat and is using his grandfather's pot buoy colors. He fishes in Linekin Bay where the Tibbett's family has fished for generations.  My mother's family, the Brewers, fished the waters of Southport Island, one town over.

Vista Linekin Cottage, East Boothbay, Maine

Exterior Details
The cottage was recently opened up for the 2012 rental season. The water has been turned on and the shutters taken off and put away. The cleaning crew will be in soon to make everything perfect for our guests.   This full acre property is a great place for kids to explore. There are wooded paths, tide pools, wildflowers, birds and much more to entertain and delight people of all ages. The road the cottage sits on loops back onto itself making it a great spot for morning walks or family bike rides.  Bring your own boat or rent one.  We have a mooring for our guests just off of the beach.
View from the street side of the cottage.  The roof was shingled a few weeks ago.

View from the right side.  The twin bedroom is on the front corner and the master bedroom is on the bay side adjacent to the deck.

The cottage sits on a bluff overlooking Linekin Bay and the town of Boothbay Harbor.

The beach path meanders down to the shore.  We had this ramp put in last year.

This is the beach at low tide.

This view shows the large front yard and gives you an idea of the great views from the back deck.
