Top 10 Things to Do in the Boothbay Region
- Visit a lighthouse. The Balmy Days at Pier 8 has a harbor tour that will take you past lighthouses or even better purchase tickets for the Burnt Island Living Lighthouse Program and travel back in time.
- Take a hike. We have miles of public trails in the area. The Boothbay Region Land Trust has maps or just walk along our public roads for a scenic walk.
- Get tickets for a concert at the Opera House. This is a great venue for a variety of musical entertainment. There isn't a bad seat in the house. It's a quick stroll from the apartment so no need to worry about parking.
- Pack a picnic for Grimes Cove or Hendrick's Head Beach. The best sandwiches can be found at the East Boothbay General Store.
- Visit the Farmer's Market every Thursday on the Boothbay Common.
- Rent a kayak or paddle board at the Tidal Transit Company.
- Visit the Department of Marine Resources Aquarium.
- Get tickets for the Cabbage Island Clambake.
- Tour the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
